Bagi Girl Teddy
"Bagi", a lady Teddy bear, is modelled on the original dating from 1908 that
was auctioned at Christie's in London in 2003 for close to $18,000! Bagi is
five way jointed. 13 inches and lovingly crafted by hand from the finest mohair
plush. She wears a feminine jacket and skirt of light-blue and cornflower-blue
felt. Bagi originally belonged to a little child who wanted a boy Teddy, not a
girl. So he removed her skirt and put it away in a drawer, but kept the jacket
on the Teddy. Many years later the Teddy's skirt was found, still in its
original condition and color. Teddy's jacket had faded in color over time. A
delightful Teddy with a wonderful history! Bagi has a gold-plated "Button in
Ear" and a consecutively-numbered ear tag with a red Steiff logo. Price for
club members is $250.00. Limited to the year 2006.
The Cat on a Pincushion
The Cat on a Pincushion is based on a mohair character item produced in 1906.
The white cat is unjointed, has a hand-stitched and painted mouth, 7 inches
tall, and wears a powder blue bow printed with "STEIFF" with an attached bell.
She has stunning green pupil eyes and lifelike whiskers. Her cushion is made of
high-quality royal blue velvet and is decorated with a blue cord edging. She
sits patiently waiting for you to ask her for a cuddle! Each cat pincushion has
a gold-plated "Button in Ear" and a consecutively-numbered ear tag with a red
Steiff logo. Make this fantastic feline part of your Steiff
